  I'm using Retin A, can I still get my brows waxed?

Unfortunately no. Retin A products can thin your skin and may cause lifting. Opt for a brow tweeze or stop using your topical Retinol products for 7 days prior to your facial waxing service. 

  I'm using Accutane for acne, can I get waxed?

No. You must be off of Accutane for 1 year before you can wax facial surfaces. 

  My hair grows fast, how often should I get waxed?

2-4 weeks is a great maintenance schedule for a brow wax to keep up on your shape.  

  How long does my hair need to be to wax?

Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long to achieve great results. A minimum of 3 weeks without shaving, trimming or tweezing is recommended for body parts below the neck. 4+ weeks weeks is even better. Facial waxing can be done after 2-3weeks of grow out or longer.  

​  Does waxing hurt?

Short answer.. it can. The more you do it, the less hair there is to grab thus the easier it gets! Our Estheticians do our best to ease any nerves you may have and distract you during the service. Some folks take 2 IB Profen or equivalent before there service to relax their body, but you may find the anticipation is more scary than the actual removal. 

  How do I prepare for my appointment?

Make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long at the time of your appointment. No need to trim...the longer the hair, the better! 

  I'm on my cycle, can I still get waxed?

Yes. We just request you put in a fresh tampon before your appointment. 

  Will I be red?

Skin reactions are different for each individual. Waxing may cause red skin, bumps, and tenderness. Facial waxing calms down after about 0-12 hours. Bikini waxing calms down about 0-48 hours. Please avoid direct sun exposure on all areas 24 hours after your service. ​

  How long does waxing last?

You can expect the majority of your hair to stay gone for 1-2 weeks. Hairs grow back slowly and more fine when compared to shaving. 

  How often should I get waxed?

A good maintenance schedule is 4-6 weeks between appointments.  Facial waxing may be a shorter maintenance period at 2-4 weeks. 

  How do I care for my skin after I get a bikini wax? 

Day of: Avoid direct sun exposure or forms of tanning for 24 hours after waxing. Wear cotton fabrics to avoid further irritation. Day 3-On: A daily routine of mild exfoliation is the best way to prevent ingrown hairs. We suggest a combination of a sugar/salt scrub 2-3 times a week plus using a Salicylic product to achieve deeper access to the hair follicle. We'll point you in the right direction. 

  What other contraindications are there for waxing? 

If you are currently sunburned, have used a tanning bed the last 24 or are medications such as Antibiotics, skin thinning medication or acne pills, you may have to wait to get a waxing service. 

  Do you wax men?

Yes although male services are limited to eyebrow, back and shoulder waxing as well as lash services.

How long does tinting last?

Brow and Lash tinting lasts 2-4 weeks. 

  What is a Lash Lift?

A lash "lift" is a semi-permanent treatment that uses your own lashes to create length and a curl upwards enhancing the natural look of your lashes. Using a silicone rod, lashes are temporarily glued into a curled position followed with lift solutions to set it's shape. The service requires you to have your eye shut for 60-90 minutes. Add a lash tint for that extra "wow factor" to your new look. 

  How long does a Lash Lift last?

Every individual is different but the average is between 4-8 weeks. Following proper aftercare instructions will help it last longer. 

​  How should I prepare for a Lash Lift?

For best results, please come to the appointment without any mascara or eye makeup on and your contacts removed. Oils from products may act as a barrier offering a less than ideal outcome. 

  How do I take care of my Lash Lift?

Day 1-Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours after your service. Avoid applying facial products and/or eye make up on for 24 hours. Day 2-On: Apply a lash nourishing product daily to keep your lashes healthy and strong. 

  I wear contacts, can I still get a Lash Lift?

Yes, however you have to remove your contacts for the duration of the service and you may not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after you receive the lift.
